NCQA publishes annual Health Insurance Plan Ratings.
We rate plans on a scale of 0-5 (0 is lowest) in .5 increments. This system is similar to Medicare's Five-Star Quality Rating System.
Rating metrics measure health care quality and patient satisfaction.
Ratings include both Accredited and nonaccredited health plans.
The 2019-2020 Health Insurance Plan Ratings reviewed nearly 1,500 plans and rated more than 1,000 private (commercial), Medicare and Medicaid plans based on their combined HEDIS®, CAHPS® and Accreditation standards scores.
